Exploring Beyond the Trap: An Invitation to Un-hallucinate the World

“We are not negotiating with China—we are negotiating with our own hallucinations of order.”

There are moments in this live—rare and crackling with the tension of something ancient stirring—when analysis becomes theatre, and thought becomes action. This Wednesday Live was one of them.

This live explores this article —

Beyond the Trap

Beyond the Trap

It was the rise of Athens and the fear that this instilled in Sparta that made war inevitable

In Exploring Beyond the Trap, we didn’t just discuss the Thucydides Trap—we stepped beyond it. Not by prediction, but by psychopolitical excavation. Not by fear-mongering, but by revealing the deeper grammar that binds and blinds Western geopolitical thought. We asked not simply will war happen?—but rather what symbolic order makes war feel inevitable?

This was not a lecture. It was a ritual of unmasking.

We entered through the doorway of Thucydides, passed through the historical periods of the Western Schism, and emerged blinking into the cloistered mirrored chambers of our own imperial psychology. Along the way, we summoned Mao, Martin V, Xi Jinping, Cardinal Richelieu, and even America herself—not as facts, but as figures in a symbolic drama whose libidinal scripts we have inherited but never read aloud.

You will hear a new argument—that the wound of the Western Schism still structures the West’s conception of order and legitimacy, and that misunderstanding China is not a failure of analysis, but a failure of symbolic humility. That our diplomacy is not diplomacy, but hallucination performed in the presence of others.

This session launched symbolic grammar as a live method. We tore apart the illusion of objectivity and sat openly within the furnace of interpretation. For those of you ready to see beyond the trap, this is your invitation—not just to think, but to imagine the world otherwise.

Let this be your re-entry into the real events within which we already are.
